Team Lead - IT Operations-Permanent-Montreal

Cistel has an immediate opportunity as a Team Lead - IT Operations with
one of our clients within the Private Sector.

Location
Montreal

Role and Responsibilities:

• Provide system administration, configuration, and application support
at a system level within a production network environment.
• Manage and implement enterprise-side configuration changes through
existing change management processes.
• Plan for server hardware and system capacity.
• Define a storage strategy able to determine different types of storage
if needed.
• Manage and operate server room including technology deployment, server
monitoring, and reinforcement of established policies and procedures.
• Administer network security and system backups (design, implementation
and support).
• Manage the ticketing system and priorities, assigning tickets, and
resolution.
• Provide internal support to IT Operations staff.
Mandatory Qualifications
• Experience as a system administrator of a production environment (5+
years)
• Team lead (2+ years)
• Good knowledge of Unix and Windows based operating systems, advanced
networking concepts, SAN, security and intrusion detection, deep
knowledge of mail protocols and services
• Availability on call 24/7 required by ASP Environment


Desirable Qualifications:

• ITIL Certification


Educational Requirement:

• B.Sc. Computer Science, or five to eight years of equivalent work
experience.
